Day 2 in Korea After I got some sleep, I woke up the next morning bright and early for work. (I won't mention my school's name on here either, so I'll just call it English School.) My coworker met me before school so that I could walk with him and also took me to his bank to exchange what American money I had into Korean won.  Day 1 at the school was just like a whirlwind of a lot of names and information so it went really quickly. I had kindergarten from 10 am - 2 pm and then I have various levels of elementary from 2 - either 4 pm or 7 pm depending on the day.  As soon as I can, I'll post some pictures of the school or the kids because they are both so adorable, (my mom would die for these little Korean kids!). They are all extremely intelligent and can already speak in complete, for the most part grammatically correct sentences and they all go by English names like Hubert and Alice. My largest class is 11 kids and my smallest is 8, so it's totally ma...

Airport Adventures and Day 1 in Korea Okay, so after Abby and Andrea dropped me off at the Atlanta airport and helped me take out stuff from all of my bags because they were all a pound or two overweight, I finally made it to my flight......4 hours early. But the views were amazing. I flew from Atlanta to Toronto, Canada and I had a ONE HOUR LAYOVER. I was nervous about this short layover, but the fact that we arrived 20 minutes later than expected meant that I only had 40 minutes to get off the of the plane, get my bags, go through customs again, ch...

Hi everyone! So, as you've probably gathered by now -- I have arrived relatively safely to South Korea. :) Before I fill you in on anything, I just want to tell you my rules for this blog. 1) Don't mention my last name anywhere on this blog. First name is fine, but there's some weirdos out there and I don't want them or anyone here in Korea seeing this. 2) I won't be posting my exact address on here because any rando can get on here so if you would like my address either email me, message me on facebook, or ask my parents! (Care packages both accepted and appreciated :))) ) Okay, so this whole process has been really crazy from the start so I'll start at the beginning. From the time I was hired to the time I was in Korea was about a month (including the interview process) so this whole process has been really fast. I'll spare you the details on all of the paperwork I had to do to get here but basically the mean lady at the Korean consulate office...
