Bali
I finally show up in Bali and I was picked up by my "host." My friends and I stayed in a homestay with the sweetest Balinese family. I had my own bedroom and bathroom (a big deal after staying in a hostel with 11 other people in Bangkok). There aren't many pics of this part of the trip because it was mostly relaxing and eating and such, but it was such a gorgeous place.
Here's where we were staying. It was a gorgeous Balinese compound.
Another temple.

Here was the front door to where we were staying.
Day 1: Waterfall.
I swam in this.
Hindu temple.
Area by our house.
Denpasar festival we attended.
Balinese breakfast our host would make us every day. I could really get used to fresh mangos, snakeskin fruit, rice cakes with sugar cane sugar, shaved coconuts, toast, banana leaves, and local coffee.
The whole area just had gorgeous places just like this randomly dispersed.
Women literally carry things on their head here THROUGH TRAFFIC like a boss.
Then two beach days. I got more burnt than I have been in such a long time. I look like Him from the Powerpuff girls rn.
Then, since it was new year's, we went and had drinks in this cabana on the beach.
Then, we got to hang out with our hosts and their entire extended family at the compound and watch at least 10 different sets of fireworks explode in every direction.
Another temple.
Gatsby: Indonesian Style
Turns out coconut milk is actually awful tasting but it provides a great #aesthetic
End of vaca. It was fantastic but I'm glad to be home. I'll post Christmasy things later if I have time.
