Hong Kong Part IV

The next day, we went to Hong Kong Park and found this super cute (and super free!) Tea Museum which was really pretty.

Felt like I was in Divergent for a sec.


Felt like I was in Jurassic Park III for a sec when they're in the cage with the Pteranodon, god was such a good movie, you should totally watch it. 

Oh yeah, but it was actually a bird sanctuary feat. birds like this one:


Who clearly was pissed about something.


And this one who was a little special. These pics weren't zoomed in at all, he was literally right next to me. But if you look at his head, he obviously has had some brain damage.

Some pictures of my school/kids!  I know a few of you (my mom) have been dying to see my school (my mom) and my kids (mostly my mom). So, thanks to my Korean helper teacher, here's a few of them!  This is me in my classroom.  The theme of June was things that live in the ocean, so the school brought in some fish that I had to then present to the kids, haha  Same. (That's a dead squid that I had to hold both before and after this photo). Cooking day! How cute are they?

So many festivals, so little time I've been keeping pretty busy in the past month with going to lots of festivals all over Korea, so here are some pics from my adventures.  First up was the coffee festival which was a bit misleading because there was very little coffee and lots of bakery items and cafe music so it was more of a cafe festival, but anyway... We had to wake up at 5 am to go into Seoul to catch our bus to the festival. The bus ride roundtrip only cost about the equivalent of $5 so thanks Korean government. The festival itself was on the east coast of Korea, so it took about 3 hours to get there and 5 hours to get back. We didn't end up getting home until about 10:30, but it was a really fun day.  Here's Seoul at 5 am. A Starbucks in a traditional style Korean building. A....bear? made entirely out of coffee. Some things I would like in care packages  A lot of people have been asking me what I would want in a care package so I decided to make a list here. **Just a reminder that I will not be posting my address on here. If you would like my address, please contact either me or my parents.  Also, I know a lot of you are planning on sending care packages right away (which I really really appreciate!) but if some of you want to wait for a month or two, that would be great too. I'm enjoying myself so much right now because everything is new and different and fun but everyone who has lived here longer than I have tells me that the homesickness starts kicking in the second or third month here.
